We are the Jordan family and we moved to rural Aberdeenshire 7 years ago and now share our home with 5 Spinoni, the childrens terriers and our much loved crossbreeds.
Over time we have added cats, rabbits and chickens to our family. Late 2008 saw 2 new additions Fudge our first homebred terrier cross and Razza the great, great grand daughter of our first Spinone, much to the delight of our home educated children.
Why Tatterybrae? It seemed appropriate for our new start in Scotland, tattery meaning windy and brae meaning hill, which describes the hill on which we live. The first year we moved here the concrete barn next door was blown down one wild night and our cast iron guttering simply blown away. We regularly record wind speeds up to sixty miles an hour and on one night recently the wind gauge actually blew away.
